Hello Beyzanur. You started playing football at the age of 4. During that period, were you first playing football on your own or did you start training with the support of someone? Can you tell us your story?
I have always played with a ball since I started walking. I've never played with toys or dolls. I asked my mother to take me to football, and she found me a summer school, and that's how I started. My teachers were also very supportive and loved me very much. I love them too, of course.
How many days a week did you play and train since you were 4 years old?
I trained every weekday during summer schools.
You are now 13 years old and you came to Samsun YAPBA Team in Istanbul. Have you gotten used to the team? What support do your friends and coaches offer you now?
Yes, I am 13 years old now. It was a little difficult to come here from Istanbul and get used to it, but thank you, all my teachers in the Samsun YABPA team supported me. We are like family, we all love each other there. We have very successful coaches in training, they prepare us well for the future.
Your Club President, Ali Akyüz, speaks highly of you. What work did you do to gain these skills? The number of football players who have the combination of interest, talent and determination is very few, and one of them is usually missing. Did you have all three?
I think I also had natural talent. That's what my family says, and then I improved myself by working. I'm still working, I will continue to work for my goals. Our esteemed President Ali Akyüz and all the coaches I work with see that I am talented when I enter the game. Of course, I think there is also determination and ambition in this. Talent, interest and determination are all three.
Which position do you play? What are the details of the position you play? What do you do extra to improve yourself in this regard and to be one step ahead of those playing in the same positions as you in other teams? Who are the football players, coaches and other educators you follow currently?
I play wing, forward. I try to be fast and strong when playing as a winger. I am training in this direction. Names like Vivianne Miedema, Megan Rapinoe, Alexia Putellas, Griezmann, I love their games.
You were interested in many sports branches, but you chose football because it was your priority. If it weren't for football, which of the sports branches that interest you most would you choose? Do you think you could establish the interest-talent-perseverance trio there and achieve the same success?
Football is my dream, it is where I want to be. If it wasn't for football, I would be interested in volleyball or defense sports. There would be interest and determination, but I don't know about talent. I think my talent is more suitable for football.
Do you think that TFF and the Ministry of Youth and Sports provide sufficient support to girls regarding access to football?
Frankly, women and girls cannot be seen much in football. Even though they are a little more visible now, I think they are still insufficient, I would like more support.
Can you evaluate European Women's Football and American Women's Football with their pros and cons in terms of sporting style and opportunities provided?
I think American Women's Football has more opportunities financially. Of course there are talented players and there is also support. I think there are more talented players in European Football.
Which teams are your goals in Türkiye and abroad to play for?
Of course, I would like to represent my country in Türkiye. I would like to play for the national team and also play for one of the three big teams after the national team. But my dream is to become a national football player and play abroad for teams such as Liverpool, Barcelona, Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United.
